Some background

I’m John Sunart, a design strategist and facilitator, and I run the Facilitation Studio. Over the last ten-ish years, I’ve developed a specialism in helping organisations and teams to come together in productive strategic conversations.

I’ve realised that facilitation is truly a discipline unto itself. However, like user research and interviewing, it’s often viewed simply as a skill designers are expected to have without training or formal learning.

This is also the case in other disciples and roles, from product managers to HR.

The studio is an attempt to answer that challenge. It will develop into a range of training options to help the design community upskill in all things collaboration, be it physical and digital tools, workshop design or delivery.
